Recently, the draft of the national standard for impregnated paper laminated wood flooring, which was revised by the Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, has been completed and will be submitted to the drafting group on August 6, 2019. The technical content of the draft revision mainly involves terms and definitions, classification, requirements, inspection methods and inspection rules. The quality requirements of non-planar impregnated paper laminated wood flooring are increased, and part of the quality requirements of planar impregnated paper laminated wood flooring are revised, with emphasis on the swelling rate of absorbent thickness, locking force and formaldehyde release. Performance indicators such as volume have been upgraded. A total of 71 comments were received from 15 relevant units for this consultation, which mainly involved formaldehyde emission, locking force, impact strength, surface wear resistance, surface bonding strength, absorption thickness expansion rate, internal bonding strength, appearance quality and size deviation. Among them, the opinions on setting the index values of formaldehyde emission and locking force items are concentrated.
This standard is the general technical research and application project of the national quality foundation of the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Program “Common Technical Standards for Improving Modern Processing Quality of Important Agricultural and Forestry Products (2016YFF0201900)”. Subject 3 “Research on Common Technical Standards for New and Special Wood Deep Processing (2016YFF0201903)” Business.
The implementation of the new version of the standards will promote China’s impregnated paper laminated wood flooring to be greener, more environmentally friendly, more exquisite and durable, help to improve customer experience, protect consumer rights and interests, enhance domestic and foreign market share and product reputation, help promote the supply-side reform of the floor industry, eliminate backward capacity, optimize industrial structure, and lead the immersion.
